Projects will be fired in the kiln at the end of class and will be available for pick up in a few days or shipping arrangements can be made.Artist statement:
Fusing glass is a medium which allows me to expand my creativity to new areas. Sparked with an idea, I begin to envision it though the unique qualities of glass coupled with my understanding of light, color and design. My desire to push the boundaries of these potentials led to fusing, opening the opportunity to explore new and exciting avenues of expression. Like the childhood excitement of Christmas morning, opening the kiln brings the exhilaration of a new gift, new complexities imbued with all the qualities of glass, transparency, dramatic color and form. It is always a surprise and mostly, better than I could have anticipated - with each piece dancing with the intricate nuances of light and color and innovative depths.
